Funny you mention this now, today I removed an H cam from my 87 manual 240, and I'm about to fit extractors.
I had the H cam in it for around a year, but it didn't work well with the B230F/LH2.2, the B230F compression ratio is lower than the B23Es the H cam was used in, and the LH2.2 injection system doesn't handle it well. the idle has to be set higher for it to idle, but even then it is very rough, the fuel system tries to fix this and the end result is it idles very rich. They also have very little low end torque, I often find myself having to change into the 2nd when I'd normally be in 3rd, and so on. They go great at higher rpm, but not very good for driving around town.
I fitted a V cam in place of the H cam, I only finished that a few hours ago but driving it up the street a few times it seems a lot better at low rpm.
The H cams seem to go well in a B23E/B230E but doesn't run as well in later B230s.
I have a new set of Perry extractors I'm planning to fit in the new few days, I think they were made in the 80s/90s, I've never seen another set though.
Hurricane offers these to suit 240s, they seem to be very good quality and work well, I plan on using a set on my 242.
