Just wondering if anyone has a photo of a manual 6 speed from a T5 S40. The reason that I ask is that I have a feeling that if it has the mounting bosses on the drivers side of the box like the auto one does it may be possible to bolt the angle drive to the box with the matching bits to create an AWD manual box. I have tried Google but I can't find a photo of the correct side.
Given how few manual AWD cars there are this could be a bit of a win if it all works. Given that I have one sitting on the floor of the shed I am pefectly happy to take photos and measurements if anyone needs them.
Cheers

Fwd m66 and Awd m66's have a different rear housing to allow for the angle drive sleeve and larger seal. You cant turn a fwd m66 into awd by bolting on the angle drive

Tim ,it sounds like you might have tried this before.
It was worth a try, I might pull the right angle drive anyway to see if that is the case with the auto as well.

Im pretty sure the autos just run a bigger seal instead of a completely different casting so the housing will be suitable. You could probably convert a fwd auto to awd but i think you would need the awd diff
