Hey everybody...
I am looking for a few pieces for my US spec 1971 164, My car has only 45,000 actual miles, and I am doing everything as original as possible.
I am searching for a genuine Volvo foglight switch for my NOS foglights. These were never offered even as an option on US car due to out arcane sealed-beam requirements.
I am looking for a "clock" panel which is installed in place of the fuse panel door. These were only on the 1972 US cars, but not before then.
I am looking for an interior rear-view mirror. mine is perfect, but has some discoloration around the edges.
I am looking for a grill "slash" and emblem.
I am looking for a pair of exterior door mirrors to replace ones that have a bit of corrosion.
I am looking for all four door handles to replace ones that have a bit of corrosion on them.
Any leads would be appreciated!

Door handles Will be very difficult to find with out pitting. Due to all of them being die cast. (Unless your lucky enough to find freshly chromed units) which isn't overly expensive if you prefer that.
Mirrors are harder unless they come apart. As they are a combination of stainless steel and diecast.
The lower dash panel (clock panel) is the same as a late 140 if I'm not mistaken (maybe with different optioned buttons etc) though the panel should be the same.

If I can't find good door handles I will have mine chromed.
The mirrors are available new from Scandix, but I thought I would see if I can find any.
The clock panel for the 1972 uses different switches, and has a much-out panel for AC, as well as different wood grain trim. The 164 lower dash "clock" unit did not have a punch-out panel, and the earlier wood grain trim.

I'll grab a photo of mine at home, no A/C cut out or the like. Rear dentist, hazard and clock is all that was on it

Is this one for sale?

Yeah. Most likely. I have no use for it. I dislike that panel. Especially with the early 140dash.

Jay:
Did you ever find the clock panel?

Sorry I didn't.
Completely forgot.
If you can remember, shoot me a private message, tonight if you remember

Thanks rob, you reminded me.

Damn! Everybody has the 1972 panels, which are different than the 1971 panels.
You have to replace the lower plastic in the dash to use these, and the wood appliqué is different, as well as the switches.

Rob
Do you have a picture of the one you are after?
deleted_user_160
Ehh, I dis like them all. Although I may have to run it later on. Due to requirements for more gauges. Will see what I can get away with

Double damn!
The photo I have of the clock panel showing the earlier wood grain panels and the older 1971 and earlier switches is apparently a pre-production photograph. I guess that there were no dash clock panels until 1972, where the bottom of the dash is different. On my photograph you can see the knurled screws at each end of the panel holding it in place. The 1972 panels use plastic fasteners to hold them in place, and a revised dash bottom to accept the fasteners.
Kind of sad that I have been looking for a part that does not exist for months...

Bugger.
So looks like 140/60 went through the same interior changes
