Is the B234F crankshaft the same as a B230E crankshaft, same stroke, journal size. I am concerned about the front and the extra pulley.
Major Ledfoot
B234 bearing sizes are the same as the K and L block cranks (i.e. rear thrust mains) of the same era.
Early B234 has the small conrods.
B234 bore and stroke (80mm) are the same as B230; pistons are different.
AQ151 and AQ171 marine engines have a longer stroke for 2.5 litres.
Crank? Can't remember without my parts book on my dead hard drive if it's different for B234, or if they use a spacer for the different (thicker) 16V timing gear, The front pulley is different between B230, and B234 or a built-up B230 16V.

Cranks dont swap due to the totaly different timing setup on the front

They are identical. I had a b230fb and MY90 16v crank on my bench yesterday, the same. I can take pictures.

Love to see pics with mesurements
The cranks will fit and interchange in the block and the only difference is in the snout for the pullys

6mm longer.

Thanks, great detective work

And this 6mm makes 3 parts of F all no doubt?
After all, a b230-16v doesn't swap out for a 234 crank. Most use the existing crank. Or a penta etc.
Vee_Que
The front pulley does stick out further on the 16v, because of the cam drive etc.

On the b234 or b230-16v ?
Vee_Que
B234. The +16v motor uses completly different parts to a b234, the crank pulley has nothing to do with a b230+16v
