My passenger front floor carpet was damp a few weeks ago, then a day or so later was fine again. Yesterday I pulled up the carpet and found the deadening material was wet on the underside.
I've seen this covered and solved as a heater core issue, however my heater core was fixed less than 10000kms ago. I'm not losing coolant, or at least not at a noticeable level.
Could this still be the heater core? Left over moisture that somehow found its way in during the recent rains? Something else?
My air con doesn't work, it stopped last time I had at in the mechanics, I believe it to be in need of a regas as you can hear the pump clicking on and off. I never, and have never, used the heater in the time of owning the car.
Thanks
Rob
is it fresh water or coolant?
patchyfog
As best I can tell it looks like regular water @Rob
Rob
sunroof or windscreen leaking perhaps? has it spent time parked in the rain?
patchyfog
No sunroof. It is parked outside pretty much 24/7 unfortunately.
I can't see where it is getting in which is why I thought it may be something else.
I suppose I could run a hose on it for a while and see if I can track anything down.
Thanks for the help @Rob

Lh footwell can be the heater....
Coolant runs through it all the time it's the vent controls that turn on and off.

Thanks @Ex850R
Yeah the coolant level doesn't seem to have dropped, I'll have another look when I get a day off.
Thanks for the help

None of the above imho. Clear the drain tube of the passenger side - you'll find it draining from the under-tray where rain-water etc runs down the windscreen and collects in the black tray under the bonnet at the base of the windscreen. There is another drain tube on the driver's side.
A wire coat hanger suitably straightened - or a garden hose - should clear the choke.
And park further away from deciduous trees!! Tiny

That's the cabin filter side.
To unblock your scuttle drain hoses, pull the off and squish them to dislodge the muck then hose out, use a stick etc....
Pull scuttle plastic cover off and give it a good clean out under there, check the filter rubber seal, replace filter carefully not to get much down into the air handling area.
