Hi all, one thing i have never been happy with on the S40 T5 is the super low level of the auto adjusting lights, they are quite ridiculous even in built up areas.
Grabbed a VIDA and DICE and found the only code it had stored and it related to the lights
The code it threw was :
CEM-8A40 = Gas Discharge Lamp Module (GDL) Left Calibration Fault
Anyone have an idea of common things to check in the hunt to get this right
Many thanks

Have you got an option to run a calibration through vida? i know some of the earlier cars (pre09?) don't have the option to calibrate within the headlamp module

Hi Tim, just very new to VIDA, not sure how to do that, but mine is a 2004, so by what you have said it may be possible?

Once you have scanned the car, you go into the communication tab (up the top), click on the headlight module (if it has one) then go to advanced and it should have an option to calibrate the auto headlamps

Thanks Tim, will try that today

Finally got around to doing this today, VIDA says it calibrated the system, and the fault codes have gone for now! here's hoping it stays that way!
