120L Was there any 142 models with fuel injection and circular instruments set in a wood grain instrument panel? Were they 2 Door cars? The more I look at Volvos the more I like them. Regards Alan
Rob Hi Alan. All 142's are 2 doors. (this is what the 2 stands for) yes, fuel injection was available on the 142, look for anything badged 142E circular instruments in a woodgrain panel?... not that i have seen.
Major Ledfoot If this is the dashboard you're thinking of.... ... it's from an 1800E or 1800ES, not a 142.
120L Bgpzfm and Alex Thanks for your comments. The dash I was looking at was similar to the one in the reply from Alex. Did the 142E have the strip (horizontal) Speedo or the later circular dials? Regards Alan
Major Ledfoot 120L;102220 wrote Did the 142E have the strip (horizontal) Speedo or the later circular dials? They all (140 / 164) got the strip speedo as standard equipment. The pic which Alex posted was of the optional 'rally' dash.
Chris Well, early 142's got the strip speedo; later 142's got the updated dashboard, commando bumpers etc along with other 1 series cars
deleted_user_160 142, woodgrain vinyl, and GT cluster.(4 gauge) rallyé (5 gauge.) These two clusters are hard to find. With restored units finding 800-1800
