I've never driven a B20A with punch, closest one ever got was a bitchslap with a soggy lettuce leaf.
OTOH a reco B20B with double Strombergs on a normal 73 manifold and a K cam can hit hard, while twin DCOE Webers and extractors are in another world (made as much power as a mild 186S, said the guy who dyno'd my car at the time (1984)).
