Yup. Gerry Lister sells an electric power steering kit.
From looking through the parts catalogs, power steering for 1967-72 140s is listed under two special options, S-1594 ("servo-assisted steering") and S-1656 ("servo steering gear"). Given these indications, it could be successfully argued with the OP's motorsport ASN in the UK that these entries in the parts catalog clearly indicate that power steering
was available in 140s at the time of manufacture. See Grupp 1, Sida 5 of the catalog.
However 1973/74 140s were only available from the factory in left-hand drive variants with automatic transmissions (special model S-1786), according to the catalog (see Grupp1a, Sida 4). 140s used a similar system to the 164E (ZF recirculating ball box with a Delco pump), but the power steering box in the LHD 164E was a different part number to the power steering box in the LHD 140.
But there's a very good reason to convert a 140 to power steering, especially for competition purposes - suddenly it's not infinity turns lock-to-lock any more! ;)
