Ghettobird Hi all Im thinking of a 3 inch DP for the R, im aware that the benefits of one are only noticed high up, but really want it for the sound What are my options for getting one/ making one up? Is the sound improvement noticeable/ worth the fuss? What other work needs to be done in order to bolt one up? I currently have a 16T straight flanged turbo installed, but wouldn't mind putting an 18T on when I have the car chipped for a manual swap The OBX ones seemed to be everywhere a few years ago, but nothing anymore? Cheers!
Ghettobird I dont know how I could be missing it, but i genuinely cant find ANY on Ebay Are they under a different model? Maybe not just "Volvo 850 OBX"
Philia_Bear 8 seconds later They appear to only have the entire exhaust kit.... Still $1k AUD shipped to your door its good value http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Racing-Sport-Turbo-Back-Exhaust-94-04-Volvo-850-C70-S70-V70-T5-W-Downpipe-/161710223181?fits=Make%3AVolvo
phonsa With the OBX straight flange DP you will need to indent the pipe to clear the steering rack, with the angled DP no mod is required. Also the DP will improve performance right across the rev range not just down low as its stock one is so restrictive. You will also need at catalytic converter welded in as the OBX system doesn't come with one.
jagardh I've been looking at JT exhaust from Sweden. Last time I checked they are around 1200 AUD inc shipping. You can choose what cat you want. http://www.jt-tuning.se/shop/default.aspx?lng=ENG&cur=EUR
