GingerNinja The lever/latch mechanism in the rear seat upright has stopped working. Only one side releases so I can't get the back of the seat down flat. I also can't see a way to get it out with it stuck upright. Any suggestions?
Major Ledfoot Unfortunately there's nothing in the 240 Green Book that i could find about this. The parts image shows there's 2 control cables from what appears to be a central latch.
240Joe After breaking the plastic on mine I got a few spare latches from a 740 and swapped a good one over. You can access it all through the latch hole in the seat, it is fiddly though. However if you have one side still working then one of the cables could have just come loose. Unclip the square trim, unscrew the latch mechanism from the seat back and you will be able to get behind it to see what's going on. Right now use a key or flat screw driver in the side latches (at the ends of the seat next to the window) to get your seat back down.
GingerNinja Thanks for the replies. Hopefully I can fix it from the middle. I tried using a screw driver to pry the end latch open but the bastard wouldn't budge.
