The 244 1982 model I bought the AC have been discounted I mean compressors still there but most of the AC stuff is missing and radiator has a none AC 1 in it, is it possible to ever have it running again or is it to much time and money
Anthony
Getting ac running always means, money. If determined suggest components off a later model as this will have a more efficient compressor and components. The evaporator, hoses and valves that go into the cabin might mean pulling out the heater box and fitting updated parts, there is much todo.
Really this would be a project of commitment and money.

Thanks so much mate just wondering does old aircon systems from the 80s have to have money spent on them anyway to run new gas

I can answer that. If you use Hychill, no. It is compatible with the oil used in old R12 systems. You should however replace your receiver and the evaporator as @Anthony said (it's in the passenger footwell side of the A/C combo box)
If you swap to R134a, you have to swap the system oil with ester oil. This process is hard to do right and will require an A/C specialist with a bunch of equipment.
If your system is currently de-gassed, I recommend first replacing the dryer and the evap thingo, replacing all the o-rings (you can buy o-ring assortments on ebay for $cheap), and then taking it to an A/C shop and have them pressure test the system with nitrogen or whatever before you go and blow money on gas.

If you want to get super ghetto you can blend your own "hychill" and do it for "cheap, cheap, cheap".
