Howdy guys,
Yesterday I ended up replacing the springs in my 850 with some eibachs. Anyway, I had a little trouble getting one of the sway links off. I ended up just taking the drivers side off from the anti-roll end of the link with the top end loose. Anyway, strut towers are back in but I haven't been able to properly tighten up the sway links. Anyone have any cheap suggestions on how to do this?

Vice grip?

Also, I think the links are pretty well shagged, so if anyone knows of cheap ones floating about, please let me know.

Doesn't quite work like that. There is multiple online options listed in a big thread for parts. The prices are the prices...

Well, you never know, someone might have some second hand ones that they are looking to flog off for cheap...

You certainly dont want 2nd hand swaybar links.
on a P80 car, the swaybar links can be 'the weakest link' in handling. They're prone to failure, they're a relatively fast wearing item.
If buying new, avoid some of the really cheap options as they'll fail quite quickly.
If you cant tighten yours, odds are that the 'spindle' is moving its housing. Yours may have flat sides which are exposed and can be used to get it tighten if you slide the boot back.
