Hi im having a bit of an issue in finding some acurate information on the brown top injectors out of an 850 i happen to have 4 laying around and was seeing if its worth swapping out the stock greentops all i need to know is sizes for both green and brown

Its is easy to find the info , i saw it recently on Mathews Volvo Site i reckon?
Maybe 340cc for the Brown Tops? Could be 385cc...

not sure what the green top na ones you are talking about flow though... never seen them.

Sorry to be clear i have a 740t so its the turbo green tops and the browns out of an 850 2.5

Are you referencing hearing about turbo redblock people putting brown tops on with the lh2.2 people? In that case they are talking about ford brown tops.
740turbo (low impedance) are 300cc@ 3bar
90+ 7/9 (low impedance) are 310cc@ 3bar
Ford brown tops (high impedance) are 370cc@ 3bar. Using these you will need to create. And also run resistors for the amm so you don't run ultra rich and end up getting 9.2afr's at 1/4 throttle.

Im referring to using the 850 brown tops i have heard of using the ford ones but i was just seeing how big they were im comparison to the greentops im running Ms2 so i can tweak them to how i like just wanted some info on them in regards to size and if it was worth it

The 850 injectors if off a turbo are bigger. But not by much iirc. But they are high impedence so you will need to remove the resistor pack.

Reference it by the part nunmber on the top and you will have your answer.

yep. brown/orange tops from an 850 turbo are 315cc
so they are 5% bigger than your standard ones.

if anything @Cj1992 you could grab some 940T green injectors and happy days. 10cc over the factory injectors you on now, but only 5cc shy of the 850 injectors

Alright sweet ill do a bit of hunting around and see what i can find on another note i was checking the valve shim clearances on the motor and while turning the motor over by hand the timing belt snapped... luckily i ordered a new belt water pump and seals last week but i need to find a gasket for the front crank and intermediate shaft seal cover anyone know where i can get one parts stores are pretty vague on what im after.

Nah i turned it by the crank and on the second turn round it went pop so makes me think how long until it went while it would be running..

Wow.. the other way is the only way I'd think it would go. Any idea how old it is?

Yeah i assumed the same thing im thinking it was due i got the car 5 years ago with 297k on the clock theres 316k on it now after being registered for a year and theres no other stickers or indications of it being done before that
