I've often wondered about having a crack at this but I can't see how a later awd whiteblock platform could fit without massive mods. Skyline bits seem a realistic option & I'd be keen to know if it's been done in some capacity before.
The 16v gt35'd engine is mostly ready for the gt but I was pondering gearbox options & thought why not go the extra mile & gain more traction...

If you went tube on the front
Could do white block with stock whiteblock big pan and put the diff into the pan ala gtr style

Dump 240 body on a Scout or f250?

Rwd has plenty of traction with good tyres compared with fwd though. Especially with an lsd.

Wish I had kept my '67 Scout....
Rob
i'm sure there are better donors than a scout though.

And Scouts are rare , i saw a tarted up one the other day in Yarraville , sure to be a hipster ....
Means they won't be cheap now...
Rob
yes... I'd think a scout is best left a scout these days..

Scout's aren't expensive still, but most have rust! Better to use a Landcruiser chassis.

Everything's relative to application I suppose re traction, I want to use the car for weekend club events including track & hillclimbs so really want it to put power down well & still handle. Paul's carby turbo gt with welded diff, sorted suspension & lots of tyre struggles to get power down so I figured why not look into driving the fronts too...still want rear predominantly driven though.

Not even the swedes have done it that I can tell. It's just one of those things you live with. The porsches and gtrs will always be faster.

That Amazon is epic.......
I remember reading an article a few years back about a little black box for the GTR drivetrain that allows you to dial up the torque split from 50/50 right back to RWD...
I've seen a Swedish build using Sierra Cosworth AWD with a T5 on ethanol in a Model A body...
