@iceton1975 has the skinny on most of them being bought and sold.
He has bought a V70R he sold to WA out of Melbz back again before, his bro inlaw had a S60R , not sure where it is now, you may as well get an auto if you find a good one and convert it as not so many around.
@VolvoMike is also a good one to ask , has a monster power S60R , a repair business in Adelaide.
There are only 26 manual sedans in Australia and sure more than 1 has been written off. If you find one anywhere then it's probably worth getting. Price is important as you're probably looking at $20k plus for anything and if you're only prepared to pay $10k then you're going to miss out.
This is pretty much exactly the mindset my friend has, he has a few cars ready to sell in anticipation for if/when a car pops up, and have been looking at the market for a while and gauging pricing and whatnot.
What transmissions are compatible with the platform? i have heard of a few people going down this route but was unsure what models parts came from and how hard they were to come by.
Manual swap is not really viable in Aus the gearboxes are super rare. Easier to wait for a manual model to pop up
I have a customer who has a silver with blue manual, they had mentioned they wanted to sell it in the past but more recently decided to keep it, next time I see it I can ask what their plans are. I have a silver auto I would sell but probably not for another few months.
This one is worth the hassle of getting shipped from Brisbane.

Atacama interior!
The leather is high quality stuff from Scotland not regular plether .
I forget the company that makes it , I'll find it.
Requires specific treatment.
Rare in such good condition too, I've seen US cars with it destroyed from poor maintenance.

I do love the Atacama interiors, but its also true that the same company made the very unassuming grey leather for the humble Phase 1 S/V40, lol. It's why all of them were pretty well destroyed in later years - no-one took care of the real leather like they needed. Hopefully most S60R owners were better than that...
Yeah we have seen this one, im trying to convince him to go up for it but still working on it.......
Let me know if you have any updates with it because no doubt my mate will be keen on the manual
Under a grand to have it transported.
It's owned by Johan, Swedish guy, decent genuine bloke who has far too many Volvo's and new twin girls about a year ago so something has to give 🤣, pretty sure he'd a member on here
