When one of the door windows in Project Clyde (74 142) was reinstalled with new Bailey channel rubber, the window regulator lift rail decided to part company with the window after 48 years. This is the same design as the 240 window regulator lift rail.
I went and ordered a new filler strip from VP Autoparts (p/n 96343).
The Green Book isn't very instructive on how to reinstall these rubber strips so window lift rail and window operate together for a long time.
Any tips for young players ?
