sparetimeauto Hi guys, my sons 850 T5 auto recently developed a leaking torque converter seal despite me replacing it about a year ago after I replaced rear main. Car was a bit unknown I'm thinking previous fellow had thrashed it as auto fluid was pretty dark. Anyway I've pulled box out again(no mean feat in the driveway) and drained the new fluid out to find metal filings and a chunk of metal like a roller bearing come out at the drain plug. Has any one rebuilt these boxes themselves? I might have to buy a second hand one and rebuild that or take a chance on it. I'm yet to open this box up, maybe tomorrow but it's not looking good. Manual conversion I'm yet to find one too..
Ex850R It's probably just never been changed.......Pretty bulletproof apart from PNP switches although I had T5 V70 BANG and GRAUNCH in reverse once but the next V70T with massive boost never died, loved it.....Get a 6spd manual.
sparetimeauto Manual would be great but having problems finding clutch pedal setup, linkages , flywheel and all the conversion stuff. I've tried a few volvo wreckers but not all of them I guess. I suppose these cars are around 25 years old now
