We reinstalled the half shafts and the calipers line up with the disks. That’s a relief.
So we moved to the front and pull off a strut. It’s a bit of a bodge. The inert is a bilstein but I don’t know what it’s from. The sop of the strut has had a screw fitting welded on to take a non-standard screw cap. No idea.
Anyway the plan is to put on later model struts (stronger) courtesy of @carnut222. I’m not going to recycle these unknown shocks but will get new ones that actually fit properly. Any recommendations for rally use? Any valving suggestions?
