I took delivery of a brand new MY22 XC60 a few hours ago, and noted that there is an inbuilt SIM data option but it keeps saying theres no mobile network connection (signal strength icon with an x). The dealer was absolutely no help and said it would work, it was probably the weather (its raining), which i frankly think is bull, would mean my phone would also have no reception.
I've googled simcard location for the past few hours but noted that the sim card door in the passenger footwell doesnt exist. Also doesnt exist in the boot.
I've read forum posts here from 2018 that say the sim card functionality/Volvo On Call/SOS etc. doesnt exist in Aus, but is this still true for 2021/2022? I've got some non-tech savvy family members I share the car with and with Google basically running the entire car, most of the functionality i.e. Google Maps navigation etc. is practically useless and most of the UI is just blank without the internet, feels like im using half a car.
Any help in locating the sim card door/confirmation this functionality does/doesnt exist in Aus would be appreciated!
