I've thrown an adjustable rod in to stop the slave extending so far it pops out but my understanding with a hydraulic system is a longer rod won't add any extra travel it will just push the slave piston in more cause that's the path of least resistance.
the ge real consensus has been there needs to be a washer behind the pivot ball, the ball is slightly worn and there was no washer this and the flywheel may have been machined to much out of spec.
I've added a washer behind the pivot but still have the same result.
the gearbox is unknown condition, I was told it was good but who knows so for peace of mind I took it up and down the street just to hear and feel it in gear to make sure there wasn't any sinister noises etc
it drove fine, I even managed to shift into 2nd and 3rd it was firm but shifted.
there was no noises, grinding etc ect and it all seemed as it should be so this takes us back to the pivot point needing to be spaced a little more, there's still quite abit of a gap between the fork being fully extended either way.
I'm going to try adding another washer behind the pivot point and see how that goes, the fact i could get it to change gears driving shows we are close.
if anyone had anymore ideas please feel free to let me know at this point I'm over laying on my back under the car so any advice to limit how many more times I need to do that would be bloody awesome haha
all I'm all I'm getting there.
this whole conversion has been over my head, I'm under qualified but am getting things done I've successfully converted from kjet to lh2.2 and the car is up and running, this will be my 4th manual conversion so I wasn't worried about that this was meant to be the easy part haha
