I went down the path of getting a used 16t from the wreckers, buying the kinugawa 19t billet wheel, new 11 blade turbine and comp housing and a genuine rebuild kit.
I got the bearing housing machined out to take the wheel, send all the bits away for balancing, then assembled myself.
All in all, the time and money spent if I did it again I would just buy a complete kinugawa ready to go unit.
Also the guy who did the balancing (hypergear in melb) did mention that the billet wheels on the td04s have a history of bending shafts, I have not heard anything like that on the forums, broken shafts yes but not bent ones. He thought the cast was a better option for that turbo or he could fit garret wheels and re machine comp housing.
Either way, I'll go to a Td06 20g shortly anyways.
