Hi peeps new here looking for some help!
just bought an 07 Xc90 v8.
cheap as chips with hail damage.
thought I’d just trash it for a bit and sell it for scrap when I was done.
however this thing has grown on me and now I want to make it good.
it has a few nasty bumps and clunks in the front end during low speed manoeuvring.
handles like puss on bumpy/windy roads in the wet and brakes aren’t much chop.
have done plenty of googling and searched here and have an idea what I’m up for.
really hoping for some up to date info.
im planning on replacing all rotor and pads straight up.
would appreciate any suggestions on locally available options here.
will also be chucking braided lines on while I’m at it. (Anything to be weary of?)
will be replacing pretty much every bush in the front end.
lower controls have been done but stuff it whilst it’s all apart a may as well avoid another alignment and do those too.
new shocks, spring mounts. drive shafts etc.
im looking at lowering it while I’m at it.
not many options though. Has anyone tried the H&M springs from Germany?
many other maintenance things I should do?
transmission flush seems to be recommended a bit?
i work on Volvo trucks for a living and can do a bit myself but cars don’t share many parts.
happy to pay my mechanic to do stuff too.
throw any and everything you have at me!
thanks for your time!
