As part of the 850R's rebiuld, the air conditioning wasn't working.
Turned out compressor seized, the very first time I got the engine running again after replacing the fuel pump I set the temp dials to 20C and slid control across to auto.
Got a mad rush of freezing cold air then nothing, not even the fan worked , on manual it worked thankfully.
Focused on the mechanical & suspension rebiuld, then interior dash and console rebiulds.
Then air conditioning was next, I knew there was a bloke in town from years ago that did my 740T HP that I'd had back in the mid 1990's and was familiar with volvo controls/design, found him.
He is happy to take calls and supply the parts posted to you.
I'm no expert never worked on air con before and due to gasses used I'm not inclined to touch it, all I can tell you is the 850s 24yr old air con is working as good as new still 3 months since it was all done.
He started with a leak test dye and multi meter test, that established the compressor was seized but thankfully no leaks.
