Elk Hi there!!I am still rebuilding the engine of my 850R. I want to delete the oil cooler lines. I read that the NAs they have the same oil pan with the oil cooler holes in it but they have a blocking plate on there. Is anybody here who can confirm that and is there anybody here who has such a blocking plate??Thanks in advanceElk
hamsandwich Later RN sump swap? Then you get the oil pan mounted oil cooler, I did this to my 850R because I hated those flexi oil cooler lines.
Ex850R If you do mean the RN motor one then if upgrading power , the peeps with the RN motors dump that cooler for better external one anyway. have a hose shop make lines to go on the existing outlet/inlet to an external cooler , buy it from anywhere.
hamsandwich There is many big power white blocks still running the pan mounted oil cooler. The RS focus one is slightly larger, and a few aftermarket companies make larger bolt on ones too.
Elk cheers Steven. I will go tomorrow and talk to my local engineering company. They can probably make one for me for a few bucks.I watched a few videos on youtube and apparently it does not make much of a difference if you have one or not........we will see.
timbo Engine oil coolers are essential on turbo motors in our Australian climate. Keeping oil temps down keeps your oil and engine in better condition
