Presuming you have a DeeWorks adapter plate - an AU Ford box, preferably from a V8, should have an extension housing of the correct length so that the gear lever appears in the best position for a 700/900.
WR2T-7003-BB and 557-020 are the numbers to look for on the box's tag. The extension housing should be stamped 0557-866906 (for the AU Ford) and the main case 13-52-065-922 (common on many boxes).
An AU V8 box will accept a US-type input shaft of the correct length; an AU 6 pot box won't - it will have a BTR-made cluster and input shaft, which both have a unique-to-OZ helix angle on them. Therefore the off-the-shelf US-centric input shafts recommended for the DeeWorks kit won't fit the box, and you'll have to have the 6 cylinder shaft lengthened so it will be long enough.
