finn Hi there. New to the group...We’ve have quite a few issues over the last year or so, dumped a lot of cash. We’ve had quite a bit replace in the front suspension and the front wheel bearings done, amongst other things. And then a shuddering developed somewhat sporadically, although mostly when going up hills when revs were around 1500. We’ve been told that the clutch is slipping in the transmission and that it’s not really worth spending the money on. There’s about 220K on the clock. I haven’t had the job actually quoted yet but thought I’d ask for some general opinions...thanks ?
Ex850R Are you going to an independent volvo specialist?Have the transmission flushed , it will most likely fix it.Where are you so we can point you to the right places to do the work.A dealer is expensive and useless in most regards.
finn I’m in northern NSW, near Byron bay. The transmission had the oil changed about 20k ago and an anti-vibration thing added. Not sure if that’s what you mean by flushed? We’ve been using a euro car specialist in Byron. Stopped going to dealer years ago as suspected they were overpriced and they’re also over an hour away. thanks for your reply
