Wanting to use the spare bung that I can see under the inlet manifold in the head next to the I think is the coolent temp sender.
I believe the thread is M16x1.5?
Problem is I have a 3/8 npt sensor on my fan controller and am having trouble finding an adapter locally. I can get one out of the US but dont really want to wait if I can find something sooner.
Im using a Proform Variable speed controller and currently have it set up on the cold side of the rad in a spare port above the trans lines. Its leaking slightly and not in an Ideal location for turning the fan on as its getting a bit warm before the fan eventually kicks in. Once its done a full cycle it seems fairly steady. If I give it the beans for a little it takes a while for it to register to wind up the voltage to the fan.
Is the port in the head a better solution or should I have it on the other side of the thermostat on the hot side of the rad?
I have another switch using the 940 relay system in the middle of the top rad hose but its a little hot coming on at 93 on full speed. The variable one is much quieter! The 940 one can stay there for safety if the other one packs up.
Would someone like Konnect fasteners have something that could work? Am I opening a can of worms taking the bung out?
I can probably add another screw in T piece in the top rad hose that suites the npt fitting?
Thank in advance.
