Hi all,
My 740 has been converted from the factory AW70L to an M47.
Every part used in the conversion came from, and was designed for, a Volvo 740 as it would come from the factory.
I've spoken to a mechanic who stated that in QLD if the modification was performed as from the factory i.e. a factory conversion such as mine with no aftermarket parts and fabrication involved, then i don't need to get a modification plate.
But if i was, for instance, to do a T5 conversion i would need a modification plate as the T5 box is obviously foreign to a 740.
Can someone confirm?
What do i need to do so QLD Transport and main roads recognizes this, and so tha the car is legally converted and able to be driven?
