roderickvonvolvo Have tested battery and checked terminals-all good but the car does not have enough juice to operate the central locking and there is no working light on the instrument panel. The immobiliser obviously will not turn off.Any idea appreciated.
roderickvonvolvo Battery would have to be as flat as a steam-rolled maggot. The car is totally dead. However, battery is now on charger and I will see how we go in the morning.Let you know. Thanks for prompt response.
roderickvonvolvo Battery did not charge.Obviously needs chucking out.I swapped newer battery from my 240 into the 850 and it went !st go.I was deceived by getting a light on a tester line and the green indicator on the battery itself. As a mechanic I make a good accountant (albeit retired).Again, thank you.
TL_V70 Battery should be replaced atleast every 2 years with a decent brand like Bosch S5 ( i have and do run bosch in my own personal cars highly recomended and do last longer than 2 years but i still replace especially for my wifes car) or AC Delko. RAC and other companies like repco supercheap sell junk items. Lol the idicator in the battery are ABSOLUTELY useless i have lost count of how may battetys i have replaced for customers with the green glow still on and the battery failing a carbon pile load test
roderickvonvolvo Thanks for this information. The battery was 3 years old and supplied by NRMA (ieĀ NSW equivalent of RAC).Another illusion shattered! But thank you.
