I have just inspected this 240 and the body + Interior are in really good shape.
It's build date is the 6/89 and It only has approx. 168,000kms + has been in the same family since new. Registered until May 2020.
Advertised for $2900:
Problems identified Upon my brief inspection:
*Slight oil seepage from the valve cover, and a couple of places around the block. Absolutely nothing major.
*The glovebox fell down when I hit a large bump, the latch needs 'repair'.
* The overdrive button on the auto gear lever won't engage/disengage. I did eventually manage to turn over-drive off on my test drive, but it took 200 button presses to get it to finally turn off.
* Some blemishes and minor dings around the place, mainly on the boot, but they're really hard to see and overall the paint is around 8/10 or more. Interior is 9/10.
* Holes in exhaust around muffler...before and after.
* Outer rack ends could do with replacing + ball joints while you're there.
*A/C was working last year, but the owner claims it needs to be regassed frequently (every 1-2 years) to work.
*Slight rust bubble below rear window seal.
The good:
* Front and rear shocks replaced in Jan 2019.
*Inner rack ends replaced at the same time.
* Auto box shifts fine.
* Engine idles and drives well.
* paint is in great condition.
* Interior in excellent condition.
* Window + windscreen seals and trim is in great condition.
*Headlights and tail lights are in great shape.
*ACT Registered until May 2020

The paint colour hides the minor blemishes really well. Even at 2m away you cant see the minor dings and scrapes. This 240 is a genuine gem and from what I've seen are hard to find in this condition. It would be a perfect base for someone's project.
I want to buy it, but I can only store it outside in the weather and felt it would be better to offer it to someone who has the undercover space to care for it.
