As per title, selling on behalf of a customer, I have done most of the maintenance on this car since 2010 and know it very well.
Silver with blue cloth interior, B230F engine, M46 manual overdrive gearbox, 3.31 ratio diff.
Good points:
Drives very well, smooth idle, clutch and box feel good, overdrive works, no noises etc. Original hubcaps and a third row seat are in the boot, has a later type genuine cargo barrier fitted. Suspension, steering and brakes feel good. Interior is very good, seats have had covers fitted for many years. Body overall very straight, upper surfaces resprayed about three years ago. Tinted windows, towbar. Windscreen is a few years old but still in very good shape. Good battery, life left in tyres and brakes.
Will need only minimal work to pass a roadworthy inspection. I know everyone says that when selling a car, with varying degrees of truth, but I am qualified as a roadworthy inspector and know the car very well.
Bad points:
Strut tops have split rubber and will need replacing. Engine wiring harness has crumbling insulation at the firewall connector, as all 240's of this era do, but doesn't seem to be causing any issues. AC needs a regas (R134a). Tacho sometimes sticks, but a known good spare is included. Odometer needs gears replacing, they are cheap on ebay (actual mileage is around 290k). Clear coat is dull on the tops of the doors, and peeling on the top of the LHF guard, as these areas weren't sprayed when the roof and bonnet were done. Small dent above RH tail light, otherwise totally straight. Small bubbled paint spots in the driver's door and below the windscreen, no rust other than what's pictured.
No registration or roadworthy certificate, so needs to be driven on a permit or trailered. Located in Ballarat Vic.
Will include a set of 15x7" Aries alloy wheels if the asking price is paid.
