I bought this from an older gentleman in Kallista a few years ago, it was his family car and was affectionately known as Nancy.
It had been sitting at his place for roughly 5 years, but with a jump start it started for me first go.
He fitted a bunch of extras to it (you'll notice the additional working OEM gauges, wheels, cargo barrier, etc in the photos) and took great care of it.
Since then I've recently done a complete service including all belts, all filters, fluids, leads distributor and corroded fuses/relays.
I've eliminated the air-conditioning because it had a very weird retro-fit system that didn't work at all and was messing with the power steering pump's mounting points causing the belt to slip and squeak.
I've now mounted the pump correctly using a modified stock mount (thanks Angus) and fitted a A/C eliminator pulley/belt from IPD that's all already setup and working.
The paint's a bit dull but in surprisingly good condition considering, it is restorable.
The same story for the interior, also showing its age but again, really pretty good overall. There is a dash crack hiding underneath the nice dashmat and the typical door card issues.
The spares that will come with the car:
- Brand new misc rackends and tie rods (can't remember everything i bought in this department but I have new items for everything worn, not fitted because I wanted to get tyres and a wheel alignment at the same time.)
- New bumper skin.
- New drivers seat (bought for straight frame, has older style upper on it.)
- Relatively new battery.
- A battery tray that isn't rusted out.
- A bunch of early round headlight conversion parts if you want them.
Still needs:
- All spares I've collected fitted (current bumper has holes for spotlights and drivers seat has the typical lean going on)
- New tyres (not supplied)
- New drivers tail light (not supplied)
- Lines run to and from the power steering pump (just needs stock lines bolted on, I haven't got off my arse to get them from the wrecker.)
- Small amount of rust near rear windows treated and painted (no other rust on the car)
- 5th gear overdrive doesn't engage intermittently
It's not registered and doesn't come with a road worthy, is advertised elsewhere.
You could permit it and drive it home if you wanted (I did) but the tyres are old and bald so the responsible thing would be to trailer it.
If you're a scrapper or a low-baller don't bother messaging me. I'm negotiable but I'm not interested in trading you for your fishtank. If you want to negotiate you had better have inspected the car and be standing in front of me with cash.
I love this car, I'm selling because I have other projects that need funding and this isn't getting the love it should in the limited time I have.
If it doesn't sell I'll slowly keep improving it until it sells or I decide to keep it.
