Anyone have any ideas on the best way to clean out the fuel tank. The baffles in the tank make it hard to sand blast.
Appreciate any suggestions

Rust issues inside the tank or something else?

I have used a product with some success called K.B.S FUEL TANK SEALER KIT . The product can be obtained from evil bay and I believe it is an Australian product. The reason I like this product apart from being a three part process is the rust blast will move the barnacles from the Titanic but you must follow the instruction to the letter of the law.( no short cuts). I must declare that I have no involvement with the product but the cost could be a bit high and may have to consider a new tank.

New tanks are available. Given the value of an ES these days, it might be a worthwhile investment. FWIW I had problems with rust particles blocking the small filter screen in the tank pick-up tube on my ES (after having it hot-tanked at a radiator place). Eventually got most of the rust bits out with multiple draininings of the tank then ditched the small filter. Haven’t looked back and that was 1993...however I imagine not having the pre-pump filter could result in catastrophic pump failure (a risk I guess I’ve already taken LOL!)
