Just about to do the PCV system on a 2006 XC with 290,000kms.
As I am not confident to do this repair myself I will be taking it to the local indy to do repairs. What other maintenance should it require while the PCV system is getting serviced and/or replaced?
Also what price range am I looking at? Hourly rate has been quoted at $110 per hour.
Cheers, Tox

Ask if they will clean the throttle while they're in there. An extra 5 minutes and some throttle spray and it's done.
Also ask if they will be replacing the banjo bolt as part of the PCV service. Some banjo bolt designs had a captive ball bearing that could break loose and get sucked through the intake causing piston damage. At the very least if they haven't heard of this then find a repairer who has. He will check the banjo bolt type and determine if it needs to be replaced.
