Hi all. Looking for some serious lh2.4 help right now. My 940 has got me completely fucked. Details below:
Recently built a b230fb+16v engine with a mild port, valve springs and catcams. Installed it into my 1992 940GL (LH 2.4, M47) over the past weekend, and have been having issues with the lambda light coming on.
Now the codes are reading 1-2-3 on the fuel side and 2-2-4 on the ignition side, indicating a fault with the coolant temperature sensor.
We have replaced the sensor, plugs, wiring, checked grounds, even added a ground to the sensor itself as it grounds in the head and we thought maybe theres an issue with that, but no matter how many times we clear the code and then start the car again, the light keeps coming back on with the same code.
Have also followed the green book instructions to test for voltage and ohms at the sensor itself, and the plugs in both the ezk and jetronic ecu inside the car. Everything is normal and as specified in the book.
We have literally tried EVERYTHING, even replaced both the ezk and ecus with other known working models and the lambda light still comes on and is sending the same code.
This has got us absolutely confused to the shithouse as we have eliminated every possible problem that it could be, but it still won't go away. It was a 2 day swap to get everything buttoned up but this issue has now brought it close towards a week with no resolution in sight.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated, I just want to drive and run in this fucking bucket already.
(Should also add that the e-fan is coming on when you start the car even though its cold)

Solved, please close thread admin.
For anyone else that suffers this issue, it was the 02 sensor that needed replacing, even though all the codes pointed towards the coolant temp sensor.
