Product description
Volvo vehicles - MY2015 & MY2016 Volvo S60, V60, V40, V40 Cross Country & XC90

What are the defects?
The affected vehicles may have a leak in the hose on the fuel line. The concern happens due to cracks appearing in the inner layer of the hose in combination with a pressurised system.

What are the hazards?
If the defect occurs there is a risk of a fuel hose leak or fire, the most common symptom being a fuel smell, which may pose a risk of injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

What should consumers do?
Consumers should contact their Volvo dealer and organise an appointment to have the hose on the fuel line replaced.

From the VIN list in the website - not too many S60s or V60s affected.
Almost 400 V40s and over a thousand XC90s though!

Chinese supplied parts from third party Chinese companies? (I may be wrong)

Volvo, if your going to assemble cars from Chinese supplied parts then the utmost scrutiny of the suppliers products is obvious.

OEM fuel hoses on my 40 year old 242GT's seem absolutely perfect, I'd replace if they showed the slightest deterioration. So the ability to make fuel hoses that look likely to last a century is old hat.
