So my 240 Turbo is once again out of action. This time with no fuel. Ive done a small amount of troubleshooting before it got dark and basically what i can tell is that for some reason the hot wire to the fuel pump relay goes dead when the key is turned to the II position or the III position. It stays hot in the I and O position. Jumpering a 12v source to this pin results in the relay activating and the car starts. Ive changed the ignition barrel and the same issue still occurs. Im not sure how this is happening as I thought this 12v source was always hot from the battery but obviously not in my case. Any ideas?
Cheers,

Fuse causing resistance?

So i found out that the backyard fix to removing the busted fuse holder from way back when was still hiding under the sheathing :|
Basically it was the power wires twisted together and taped up...they were quite corroded and once i put a new fuse holder in it fired right up. Problem I have now is that it idles like a rotary and blows alot of black smoke until it warms up. If I jiggle the body harness connector it smooths out or the revs increase. Looks like im still a way to go to getting this sorted...
