Bob, the original issue (anti-skid service) would usually be due to a failed steering angle sensor I believe. If the airbag and steering wheel controls worked before then I would think there's nothing wrong with your original clockspring.
If the airbag and steering controls don't work now it's because of the clockspring or connections - it's just a loop of cables around the steering column, connecting the airbag and steering controls only... I don't suppose you skipped plugging it in down the bottom on reassembly ?
I'd be swapping the original clockspring back to see if you can get back to the original state, or discover the reason why the new clockspring isn't working.
