We could organise a convoy Ben @Crabolsky140, I need to get my 264 home to Canberra! One way trailer hire from Ipswich is $680, to hire one from Canberra return is $350? Know the Lockyer well, I used to work at Laidley/Toowoomba.

What model XC does @Spac have? My first XC was a 1998, great car until the haldex gave up, luckily removing it & converting to FWD was an option (thanks to XC forum in the US for procedure). Amazing what unleashing the 4WD did to power!

His is a 98 too i believe, with a manual transmission. I want to rob it of its awd gear to put in my C70.

I am hoping that mine will eventually have enough power that AWD will be a positive only.

Manual would be good! Well if it all goes to plan I will be travelling up with an empty trailer so would be economical to bring a car up & return with one. Delivery location the same as pickup too!

I don't know if he will be ready to part with it yet, he is still using it. I will continue to annoy him but :)

In fact i believe his line was that he will possibly part with it this year. Clutching at straws or what?

Sounds like is would need to be a decent sized trailer! Where is your 264 located?
