Egads' 1990 940 Turbo

Swapped this for the 360 and 940gle on Monday. Has been run on high boost on the 13c, fpr leaky and turbo not super happy.
So grabbed an fpr to put in from @Spac and will double check fuel system as apparently leaking near tank pump. Getting a 13c from pb to address that. Otherwise pretty clean and drives pretty nicely.

Resoldered overdrive relay so will kick into od earlier hopefully. Put the fpr from spac on. Checked hoses around the tank and they are quite crumbly and holey so will get a bunch of new efi hose and redo as much as i can get my hands on back there.

Dodgy short lengths of pipe dealt with. Section of boost pipe that coul easily suck closed replaced. Now just get back to stock boost and should be ok. All the vacuum on the turbo is hooked up in crazy places so will find diagram and hook up right.

Hooked up right now. Also put mbc on to get it up to 8psi from the stock 4psi. Safe bit of extra power ftw.

Hmm, maybe buggered compressor bypass valve. With it connected up without mbc it would make 4 at the drop of the hat but no more.

4psi is correct if it happens to have the low pressure actuator on it

Ooh, forgot to mention that i had to tape the boost gauge to the steering column. Waay ghetto but can see it and decide if position works to fab up something. Probably out of wood @Rob :-P

Still takes a while for o/d to kick in. I think it might be too full and not dex 3. Drain and fill soon.

Perhaps the little hole in the solenoid could be clogged?

Also in case the consistency/high level is a leaky cooler will switch that to an external one.

Clogged makes sense. Easy to get to to clean or should I just rely on fluid additives to break it down?
